In Hebrews 4:16 it says: "Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need".
What He is to be to us depends on what we are willing to be to Him: "Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you.' In one sense, failing to spend time in prayer with our Lord is a form of rebellion. It communicates that we do not need Him very much, that we can carry on our lives and responsibilities in our own strength.
The greatest thing anyone can do for God and for man is to pray. You can do more than pray after you have prayed, but you cannot do more than pray until you have prayed.
Prayer is the most powerful communication tool that this world has ever known. We must always continue in prayer. It is the tool in which God has chosen for us to communicate and make our petitions known unto Him.
